Whether you travel by plane or ferry, a trip to the Whitsundays is as stress-free as can be. The tropical mecca is just one flight away from Sydney and Melbourne, with connecting flights available from other major airports throughout the country. Alternatively, you can also touch down in Airlie Beach and enjoy a relaxing ferry ride across to the island.
While the island is easy to reach, you’ll feel a world away from the hustle and bustle of Australia’s mainland from the moment you arrive. Here, you can open your senses, smell the flowers and bask in delicious sunshine all-day long. The Whitsundays is a dream-come-true all year round, but there’s something particularly refreshing about this part of the world during Spring. It’s relaxing, restoring and reflective, all at once.

1. Whitehaven Beach
For anyone visiting the Whitsundays, Whitehaven Beach is a must! The sand is so mesmerising that it actually looks like a cloud from above and the calm waters lap up against the shore to ensure the perfect swimming experience. The combination of white sand and turquoise waters mean you can enjoy incredible visibility for snorkeling, flat swell for swimming and a soothing backdrop to listen to throughout the day. After a few hours spent soaking up all that Whitehaven has to offer, you’ll certainly come back feeling like you’re on cloud nine.

2. Kayaking and SUPPING
The breathtaking water visibility in the Whitsundays creates the perfect conditions for kayaking and stand up paddling boarding. For those wanting to stay active while on holidays or enjoy the scenery from a completely different perspective, this is a great way to explore the postcard-perfect landscape. There are plenty of tours available from providers across the island, as well as hire centres that allow you to head off exploring on your own. To add another layer of indulgence to the ambience, why not head out just before sunrise or sunset? You’ll be treated to a front row seat to one of the most incredible landscapes you’ll ever see. If that’s not peak relaxation, we’re not sure what is.
3. Resort relaxation
