When you step into the Manta Ray Café and take in the white bar, white wooden tables and clean décor, you feel a distinct sense of relaxation.
Against a backdrop of yachts at the marina, the view from your table is unrivalled. The water glistens under the bright midday sun and fish swim through the clear water as you gaze across the marina ready to enjoy a relaxing drink or bite to eat.
The café is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner has an extensive drinks and food menu, but you can’t go past the pizza. Pizzas are available in a range of flavours from BBQ Chicken to Salmon to the intriguing Chilli Explosion.
With thinly sliced potato, zucchini, rosemary, goats cheese and pine nuts, the Riviera pizza is a perfectly balanced taste sensation and the Hamilton Special earns its title with caramelized onion, ham, pork sausage, pineapple, red capsicum and mozzarella.
With a smorgasbord of delicious options it’s hard to pick just one, so sample a few flavours with the convenient half/half option.
For a lighter option, try the stone baked pita bread with beetroot dip, hummus and olives, or the BBQ prawns with chilli, oregano, olive oil, sourdough chunks, garlic and fennel and tomato salad. For something different, the charred corn husks with burnt butter and sumac dipping salt are also incredible.
