The Hilly Half Marathon kicked off the series at the start of this month and brought together a variety of different events to ensure that the entire family could get involved. There was the main half-marathon race, with a course that included steep inclines, zig-zag tracks and downhill stints to test even the most fearless of athletes. There was also a 3 x 7km relay for anyone wanting to train with family and friends to tackle the 21km course together. The kids weren’t forgotten either with three different distance options for the little ones on a much-kinder, flatter and easier course.
