A highlight of any visit to the island is undoubtedly the wildlife park, WILD LIFE Hamilton Island.

From slithery snakes through to cuddly koalas and even a cassowary, it is home to an array of native wildlife for you and your family to discover.

Here are a few of the locals you’ll meet during your visit.

Freddie the cockatoo

Freddie is the chatty cockatoo of the park. He’s always up for a chat, so be sure to say “Hello Freddie” during your visit!

Mac the crocodile

This is Mac, the resident Saltwater Crocodile at WILD LIFE Hamilton Island. The reason crocodiles have such beautiful smiles is because they lose a tooth as soon as one is damaged. They can have up to around 5,000 new sets of teeth over a lifetime.

Oprah the koala

Oprah’s namesake (the Winfrey kind) arrived on the island the day this special girl was born. You can have breakfast with Oprah and her friends daily.
